Minor Helmet Requirement
Mt. Bachelor strives to be an industry leader in Mountain Safety. To further this goal we are requiring students 17 and under in any Snowsports School lesson program to wear ski and snowboard specific helmets during lessons. For your convenience Mt. Bachelor offers helmets for rent or sale. Additional information about helmets and Snowsports can be found on the NSAA’s website at lidsonkids.org. Rental Helmets are available for $6 to students 17 and under in a Snowsports School lesson.
Welcome to our Mountain Rippers Program
Mt. Bachelor is the only resort in the Northwest that offers a 3 to 1 group lesson for 3 ½ - 5 year old skiers! Are you looking to get your little one started or progress further on skis? This is the perfect program!
Mountain Rippers is a skiing program for kids ages 3 ½ - 5 years. Kids get a guaranteed maximum group size of 3, which means more personal attention and a guarantee that, when ready, they will always ride lifts with their instructor. Mountain Rippers is staffed by specific instructors who specialize in working with young children.
This is a skiing specific program. Program includes lift ticket, on snow instruction, equipment rental and lunch (for full day guests). Morning and afternoon half day lessons are available. Again, please note: This is a SKI ONLY program, group snowboarding lessons are not offered for this age group.
Please proceed to our new children's center, located in the lower West Village Lodge, for all your Mountain Rippers needs. Equipment rental is included in Mountain Rippers pricing.

The schedule indicated above will be maintained through Sunday, April 15th.
Between Monday, April 16th and Sunday, April 22nd, one session of Mountain Rippers will be offered daily from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Cost is $120 per day.
The Mountain Rippers program will conclude for the 2011-2012 season on Sunday, April 22nd.

All Day Program
This is a 4 hour lesson (with lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm) paced for young children, with breaks as children need throughout the day. We suggest arriving at the Mountain Rippers Center no later than 9:30am so your child can be fit for rental equipment and assigned to their proper ski level without being rushed. If you do happen to arrive later, be aware the lesson may start late and your child may not receive their full 4 hours on the snow. During our busy holiday periods we will open at 8:30am and for your convenience, we have our children's center staff available for late pick up until 3:45pm.
Half Day Program
Morning: 10:00am to 12:00pm
Afternoon: 1:00pm to 3:00pm
These are 2 hour lessons paced for young children, with breaks taken as needed.

Sales & Reservations
- You may reserve online for full day lesson products only. If you are interested in half day products please call out reservation line 800-829-2442.
- If you do not have advanced reservations, proceed to our Mountain Rippers Center located downstairs in the West Village Lodge for sales and information. You are not able to purchase this product in rentals.
- Rentals (skis, boots, and helmets) are included in the Mountain Rippers Program, you do not need to visit our rental location prior to arriving for lessons.
- Please allow enough time to fill out our registration paperwork and get your child fit for equipment.
